Pixies

The EP "Pixies" by the American alternative rock band Pixies was released in 2002 by SpinART Records (U.S.), Cooking Vinyl (UK), and Sonic Unyon (Canada). It features songs from the band's original 17-track demo tape, famously known as The Purple Tape, which was recorded in March 1987 at Fort Apache Studios by Gary Smith. The EP includes tracks that were not included in their debut album "Come On Pilgrim," released in 1987, which featured eight songs from The Purple Tape. "In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)" is a notable cover included on the EP, originally from David Lynch's 1977 film "Eraserhead." This release provided fans and listeners with a glimpse into the early recordings of Pixies, showcasing their raw and distinctive sound that would later influence the alternative rock genre significantly.
