The album comprises of 10 tracks, including guest performances by Akon, 50 Cent, and Lenny Kravitz. Controversy arose from some fans and family members, who questioned the authenticity of some vocals. Despite the controversies surrounding the album, it received 4 out of 5 stars from Allmusic, while Entertainment Weekly gave it a B- rating. The album sold 228,000 copies in the first week, debuting at number three on the US Billboard 200. It had moderate success worldwide, reaching top-10 positions in several national album charts, but sales did not reach the expectations the record labels had set out to achieve. Songs like "Hold My Hand", "Hollywood Tonight", "Behind the Mask" and "(I Like) The Way You Love Me" were listed as singles from the album. As of 2021, the album has sold over a million copies in the United States.
