The Doobie Brothers

"World Gone Crazy" is the thirteenth studio album by The Doobie Brothers, released on September 28, 2010. Marking their highest chart position since 1989, the album debuted at number 39 on the Billboard 200. The album features a mix of new material and a remake of their classic 1971 debut single "Nobody." Guitarists Pat Simmons and Tom Johnston shared songwriting duties, with Johnston's title track reflecting on contemporary social issues, expressing concerns about global violence and societal changes. Produced by Ted Templeman—who had a long history with the band until 1983—this album was notable as it was his first production with them in 27 years. It also holds significance as the last album featuring drummer Michael Hossack, who passed away in 2012. The track "Don't Say Goodbye" includes contributions from harmonica player Norton Buffalo and features Michael McDonald on vocals, adding depth to the album's rich sound.
