Blondie

"Pollinator" is the eleventh studio album by American rock band Blondie. It was released on May 5, 2017, by BMG Rights Management. The band, consisting of iconic singer Debbie Harry, guitarist Chris Stein, and drummer Clem Burke alongside newer band members Leigh Foxx, Tommy Kessler, and Matt Katz-Bohen, enlisted an array of songwriting talent for the album. Notably, Sia, Charli XCX, Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio), Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and Johnny Marr (The Smiths) are among the album's collaborators. It also features vocals from Joan Jett and The Gregory Brothers. The album was produced by John Congleton, who's worked with the likes of St. Vincent, Franz Ferdinand, and Sigur Rós. "Pollinator" was the last Blondie album to be recorded at The Magic Shop before its closure. The album is a blend of the band's trailblazing past while plunging fearlessly into the modern pop landscape. It features the lead single "Fun" and also "Long Time", which echoes their breakout hit 'Heart of Glass'. The "Pollinator" album charted in numerous countries and peaked at number 4 in the UK Albums Chart. It's a modern rock record, layered with characteristic Blondie style and vivacious pop sounds. It was positively received for its energetic attitude and classic Blondie sound.
