Fleetwood Mac

"Mirage" is the 13th studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on June 18, 1982. This album marked a return to the band's traditional sound after their experimental previous album, "Tusk". It was recorded from late 1981 to early 1982 at Le Château in France and produced by Richard Dashut and Lindsey Buckingham. The album features hits like "Hold Me", "Gypsy", and "Love in Store". Interestingly, "Gypsy" was inspired by Stevie Nicks' life before Fleetwood Mac, and "Hold Me" was written by Christine McVie and Robbie Patton. "Mirage" became a great commercial success, reaching #1 on the US Billboard 200 for five weeks, and also earning certifications in several countries. Despite its success, the members of Fleetwood Mac have expressed mixed feelings about the album in retrospect due to its conventional pop sound after their much more daring album, "Tusk". Nevertheless, it remains a significant part of their discography and a favorite among many fans.
