Metallica

"Through the Never" is a compilation album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. Released in 2013, this unique album is a soundtrack to the band's movie, also titled "Metallica Through the Never". Unlike traditional soundtracks, however, this two-disc album features live recordings from Metallica's shows in Edmonton and Vancouver in 2012, all performed during the band's world tour on its eighth studio album, "Death Magnetic". The soundtrack expands on the movie's plot - a roadie sent on an urgent mission for the band during a live Metallica concert - with the live concert footage in the film actually taken from the very performances included in the album. The collection features a number of Metallica's greatest hits, including "Master of Puppets", "Enter Sandman", and "One", alongside less-frequently performed numbers such as "Orion" and "Ride the Lightning". Essentially, "Through the Never" brilliantly showcases Metallica's sustained vitality and powerful performances, delivering a comprehensive reflection of the band's celebrated three decades in heavy metal. Although the album did not initially make a significant commercial impact, it did chart on several international record charts and received generally positive reviews from critics for its high energy live renditions of both the band's classics and newer material.
