"Out of Our Heads" is the third studio album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released in two distinct editions with different covers and track listings. In the United States, it was released by London Records on July 30, 1965, as the band’s fourth American album. The UK edition, released by Decca Records, came out on September 24, 1965, as their third British album.
The album features the core lineup of Mick Jagger (vocals), Brian Jones (guitar), Keith Richards (guitar), Bill Wyman (bass), and Charlie Watts (drums), with additional contributions from former member Ian Stewart. It was produced by the band’s manager, Andrew Loog Oldham.
Out of Our Heads continues the band’s tradition of covering American blues, soul, and rhythm and blues songs, though it also includes some original material. The UK version features four original tracks out of twelve, while the US version includes six original tracks. Notably, the American edition includes "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," which became the band’s first number-one hit in the US and topped charts in ten other countries, including the UK. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it as the second greatest song of all time.
The album achieved significant commercial success, becoming The Rolling Stones' first number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. In the UK, it reached number two on the album chart.
