Tears For Fears

"Elemental" is the fourth studio album by English pop rock band Tears for Fears, released on June 7, 1993, by Mercury Records. It marks a significant shift for the band, as it is the first album recorded after the departure of co-founder Curt Smith, leaving Roland Orzabal as the sole leader with support from additional musicians. The album achieved commercial success, peaking at No. 5 in the UK and No. 45 in the US, and reaching the top 10 in France and Italy. It also charted well in Canada and several European countries. "Elemental" has been certified Silver in the UK and Gold in the US, Canada, and France. The single "Break It Down Again" was particularly successful, becoming a hit in Europe and North America and marking the band's last entry into the US top 40. This album was the final release by Tears for Fears under the Phonogram/Mercury label, with which they had been affiliated since 1981.
