Accompanying the music, the box set also included a PDF with album artwork, track listings, and commentary from the band. Initially, The Complete U2 was priced at $149.99 in the US, though those who purchased the U2 Special Edition iPods (specifically the fourth-generation iPod models) received a $50 coupon for the set. The U2 Special Edition iPods also came with a code for a 33-minute video featuring live performances and interviews with the band.
