"Greatest" is a greatest hits album by the English pop rock band Duran Duran, released in 1998. It serves as an update to the 1989 compilation album, Decade, and includes tracks from their debut album through 1997's Medazzaland, while excluding 1995's Thank You. The album features all 14 songs from Decade, along with "New Moon on Monday" and four singles from the 1990s. Many tracks are presented in edited forms to fit on a single CD, and the version of "Rio" included has not appeared on any US single releases.
Released by EMI after the band parted ways following the unsuccessful Medazzaland, this album was part of a strategy to capitalize on Duran Duran's extensive back catalogue. To coincide with the album's release in the UK, "Electric Barbarella" was released as a single; this track had previously been released in North America in 1997 to promote Medazzaland, which was not officially available in Europe until 2022. By 2008, Greatest had sold 1.3 million copies in the United States and was certified Platinum by the RIAA, making it the band's most commercially successful release. However, a comprehensive collection of all Duran Duran's singles on a single album has yet to be issued.
