David Bowie

"The Singles Collection" is a compilation album by English musician David Bowie, released in 1993. In the UK, the album was titled The Singles Collection, while in the United States, it was released as The Singles 1969 to 1993. A video companion, Bowie – The Video Collection, was released on VHS at the same time. This collection brought together a variety of Bowie’s singles, including some that had never been officially released as singles before, such as "Ziggy Stardust". It marked the first time that several 7" single edits were made available on CD, and included rare versions of tracks, including the shortened mixes of "TVC 15," "Space Oddity," and "Loving the Alien." The US edition featured the full-length original version of "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)" and a 4:01 remix of "Under Pressure," while the UK version included a shorter 3:58 edit of the latter, which originally appeared on Queen's Greatest Hits II Additionally, the first 40,000 copies of the US release came with a third disc containing the track "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy," a duet between Bowie and Bing Crosby from Crosby’s 1977 Christmas television special.
