"Blur: The Best Of" is a greatest hits compilation album by the English Britpop band Blur, released in late 2000 as their final album under Food Records. It was available in various formats, including CD, cassette tape, MiniDisc, double 12" vinyl, DVD, and VHS. The CD features 17 of Blur's 23 singles from 1990 to 2000, along with the non-single track "This Is a Low." A special edition of the CD included a live CD, while the DVD/VHS version contains music videos for the first 22 singles.
Upon its release, the album achieved significant commercial success, reaching number 3 in the UK charts and number 186 in the US. The cover art was created by artist Julian Opie, and the painting is displayed at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
Critically, the album received a favorable response, holding an overall approval rating of 88% on Metacritic based on reviews from notable publications. In March 2009, it was reported by Music Week that the album had surpassed one million unit sales in the UK. An alternative title considered for the album was Best Blur Album in the World Ever, referencing the popular The Best... Album in the World...Ever! compilation series, which often featured Blur's songs.
