"This is Music: The Singles 92–98" is a singles compilation album by the English alternative rock band The Verve. Released in November 2004, the album features a collection of their hit singles from the period spanning 1992 to 1998. Notably, it includes two previously unreleased tracks: "This Could Be My Moment" and "Monte Carlo." These songs marked a departure as Nick McCabe did not contribute to them; instead, Simon Tong took the lead guitar role.
The album's title pays homage to a track from their acclaimed 1995 album "A Northern Soul." The cover art of "This is Music: The Singles 92–98" is inspired by the artwork of their 1992 single "She's a Superstar." The compilation serves as a comprehensive overview of The Verve's successful singles era, highlighting their evolution and distinctive sound throughout the 1990s.
