Asaf Avidan & the Mojos

"Poor Boy / Lucky Man" is the second studio album by Asaf Avidan & the Mojos, independently released in Israel on September 9, 2009. Following the success of their debut album, "The Reckoning," the album continued the band's momentum with its distinctive sound and introspective lyrics. The album was released with two different names, covers, and a second track title, allowing listeners to choose between the themes of "Poor Boy" or "Lucky Man." This unique presentation added an element of interaction with the audience and reflected the album's exploration of contrasting themes. The album achieved gold status in Israel within five months of its release and received widespread acclaim. In April 2011, "Poor Boy / Lucky Man" was released in parts of Europe, where it garnered significant attention. It was featured as album of the month on France's national FIP radio, received praise in the newspaper Libération, and was highlighted by Germany's eclipsed magazine. Although it achieved limited commercial success in France, reaching #108 on the official Top 200 French Albums Chart and staying on the chart for six weeks, the album's critical reception contributed to its international reputation.
