Porcupine Tree

"Atlanta" is a double-live album by the British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, recorded at the Roxy Theatre in Atlanta, United States, on October 29, 2007. Initially intended for a live album, the recording was later shelved as the band shifted focus to the development of the Anesthetize DVD project. However, following news of Mick Karn's advanced-stage cancer diagnosis, the band decided to release the Atlanta recording as a downloadable item through the Burning Shed online store at a low cost. The album, available as a .RAR file split into two parts, features MP3 format at 320 kbit/s and includes printable artwork designed by Carl Glover. Proceeds from the downloads were intended to assist Mick Karn with his treatment. Additionally, a 44.1 kHz/24-bit FLAC version was released in August 2010, with profits from this version going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. "Atlanta" is considered a double album due to its artwork and mix setup for two CDs. It features a track listing somewhat similar to the Anesthetize DVD but includes the first official live recording of the track "A Smart Kid," as well as some songs performed during the Anesthetize shows that were omitted from previous live releases.
