"Dedicated to Chaos" is the twelfth studio album by the American progressive metal band, Queensrÿche. It saw its official release on June 28, 2011, under the label of Roadrunner Records and Loud & Proud. It is the band's last studio album to feature original vocalist Geoff Tate, before his departure from the band in 2012.
The album takes on a significant departure from the band's traditional heavy metal and progressive metal sound and incorporates elements of various genres including pop, dance, and trip-hop, which was mainly adopted from their earlier work. This radical shift in their musical style drew mixed reactions from their fans and critics alike.
"Dedicated to Chaos" consists of 16 tracks with some of the notable ones being "Get Started", "Hard Times", "I Take You", "Retail Therapy", and "Luvnu" among others. The band members involved in the production of this album included Geoff Tate on lead vocals, Michael Wilton on guitars, Eddie Jackson on bass guitars, Scott Rockenfield on drums, and Parker Lundgren on guitars. The overall length of the album is approximately 69 minutes.
Even though it explored a different musical direction, the album entered several Music Charts globally and reached No. 70 on the Billboard 200 chart. Despite the mixed reviews, it showcased the band’s willingness to experiment and expand their musical horizons beyond their established realm.
