Enya

Sounds of the Season: The Enya Collection is a Christmas-themed album by the iconic Irish artist, Enya. Released by Warner Music in 2006, it was marketed specifically towards the US audience as a 'Limited Edition' for the Christmas market. The album, sounds of the winter rather than traditional Christmas music, offers the pure, ethereal voice and lyrical mysticism characteristic of Enya's work and consists of a collection of six songs. Four of the numbers on this EP - "Trains and Winter Rains", "Dreams Are More Precious", "Oíche Chiúin", and "My! My! Time Flies!" have also been included in her album, And Winter Came... The album is actually a rebranded version of "Christmas Secrets," an EP that was released in the United Kingdom. However, in the U.S., the collection was given a bespoke cover and additional tracks were added. This album does not only resonate with the Christmas spirit but also reflects Enya's enchanting vocals earning an enchanted place in her audience's hearts. Sounds of the Season: The Enya Collection features lesser-known tracks and cover versions of classic songs, including a beautiful rendition of "Oíche Chiúin", a Gaelic version of the song "Silent Night." Despite the limited release, the album managed to chart at number 140 on the Billboard 200 and number 24 on the Top Holiday Albums. Overall, it offers a blend of Enya's unique musical style with a Christmas theme, making it an ideal soundtrack for the holiday season.
