Rammstein

"Rammstein: Paris" is a live album and concert film by the German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released on 19 May 2017. The film was shot over two nights at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris in March 2012 during the band's Made in Germany tour. The film features 22 songs from the band’s entire repertoire, the longest track listing of any Rammstein concert film. Unlike most live releases, "Rammstein: Paris" is not just a compilation of concert footage. Rather, it's a meticulously planned and scripted performance, and the band worked extensively with Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund (noted for his work with acts like Metallica, The Prodigy, and Lady Gaga). The film and album were acclaimed for their spectacular pyrotechnics, theatrics, and groundbreaking video editing, marking an impressive visual and aural experience. Despite some negative feedback from fans who felt the editing was excessive, the audiovisual quality of the release as well as the band's performance were highly praised. Adding to its significance, "Rammstein: Paris" became one of the final major releases featuring keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz before he announced his departure from the band in 2021.
