"Travelin'" is the eighth and final studio album by the pop rock band Tommy James and the Shondells, released in 1970. The album features a more polished and mature sound compared to the band's earlier, more experimental releases. Travelin' includes two singles that charted on the Billboard Hot 100. The first, "She," reached #23 in January 1970, and the second, "Gotta Get Back to You," peaked at #45 in March 1970. Despite the success of these singles, the album itself reached #91 on the Billboard 200.
Travelin' marked the end of Tommy James and the Shondells' long relationship with Roulette Records, the label that had been responsible for most of their hits. The album, though not as commercially successful as some of their earlier work, is noted for its smoother pop-rock style and its reflection of the evolving musical landscape of the early 1970s. This album also represents the band's final studio effort before they disbanded, as Tommy James would go on to pursue a solo career after the group's dissolution.
