Tommy James and the Shondells

"Hanky Panky" is the debut album of Tommy James and the Shondells, released in 1966. The album reached #46 on the Billboard 200. It produced two successful singles: the title track "Hanky Panky," which soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Say I Am (What I Am)," which reached #21. The album was recorded shortly after Tommy James invited the Shondells to become his new backing band following a brief impromptu performance together in Pittsburgh. This marked the first time the entire band worked together in the studio to record the album.
