John Lennon Anthology is a four-CD box set featuring home demos, studio outtakes, and previously unreleased material from John Lennon's solo career, spanning from "Give Peace a Chance" in 1969 to the 1980 sessions for Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey. Compiled and co-produced by Yoko Ono, the anthology is organized into four discs that represent different periods in Lennon's career: "Ascot," "New York City," "The Lost Weekend," and "Dakota." The anthology reached number 62 in the UK and number 99 in the US, where it achieved gold status. A single-disc version called Wonsaponatime was released as a highlights compilation, featuring edited tracks from the box set. While it did not chart in the US, it peaked at number 76 in the UK.
