UFO

"Force It" is the fourth studio album by the English rock band UFO, released in 1975. This album marked their first entry into the U.S. charts. Produced by Leo Lyons, the bassist of Ten Years After, Force It also featured Chick Churchill, another member of Ten Years After, who played the Fender Rhodes electric piano. This was the first time that instrument appeared on a UFO record. The album's CD reissue was remastered in 1994 at Sound Recording Technology in Cambridge. The original album cover, designed by Hipgnosis, generated some controversy due to its nudity, which nearly breached decency standards. The identities of the couple in the bathtub remained unknown for several years but were later revealed to be Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti, both of whom later became known for their work in the industrial band Throbbing Gristle. The cover was altered for the initial U.S. release, making the couple transparent. Additionally, the artwork included a pun, featuring multiple taps (or faucets in U.S. English) that played on the album's title.
