"Sunken Condos" is the fourth solo album by Donald Fagen, co-founder of Steely Dan, released in October 2012 through Reprise Records. This album features eight new original songs and a cover of Isaac Hayes' "Out of the Ghetto."
Fagen began the recording process in 2010 and aimed for a lighter sound compared to his earlier work, distancing it from the themes of his Nightfly trilogy. The album was well-received, with the song "I'm Not the Same Without You" previewed by Rolling Stone prior to release. It charted at number 28 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and reached number 23 on the UK Albums Chart. In the US, Sunken Condos debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200, marking Fagen's highest-charting solo album since 1993.
