Curved Air

"Midnight Wire" is the fifth studio album by Curved Air, recorded in 1975. It was marked by yet another lineup change for the band. After the reunion tour, which was documented in the *Curved Air - Live* album, Darryl Way and Sonja Kristina brought in new musicians to join the band. The album features lyrics exclusively written by Norma Tager, a friend of Sonja Kristina. Tager, who had previously helped design Kristina's stage costumes during Curved Air's 1974 reunion up until their breakup in 1976, contributed to the songwriting for Midnight Wire. This collaboration added a new dimension to the band's music during this period of transition. The recording of Midnight Wire was marked by intense and bitter arguments between the band and producers Ron and Howard Albert. The Alberts were known for their harsh criticism of the band members, which led to significant tensions during the recording process.
