"The Remix Album" (also titled The #1 Remixes in North America) is Lisa Stansfield's first remix album, released by Arista Records on June 2, 1998. The album features remixes of tracks from her 1997 self-titled album, Lisa Stansfield.
The remixes were crafted by a notable roster of US and UK producers, including Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, Victor Calderone, Frankie Knuckles, Hani, K-Klass, Mark Picchiotti, the Black Science Orchestra, and the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. This diverse lineup contributed to the album’s broad appeal and its exploration of different dance and club styles.
The Remix Album received favorable reviews from critics and achieved moderate commercial success, reaching number eighty-two on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
