"Peace by Piece" is a studio album by Quicksilver Messenger Service, an American psychedelic rock band. Released on 1986, it marked the band's reunion after a separation for nearly nine years. The band's original members, Dino Valenti, Gary Duncan, Greg Elmore, and David Freiberg collaborated for the album; however, John Cipollina, another original member, wasn't part of the project.
The album was produced under the Capitol Records label and didn't gain as much commercial or critical popularity as their previous works. Tracks in the album include a range of songs like "Peaceful Love," "Too Far," and "Close Enough for Jazz/Barefootin". One of the unique features of this album is that it features guest performances by other musicians like Nicky Hopkins, a renowned British pianist.
Though Quicksilver Messenger Service was known for their contribution to psychedelic rock, the "Peace by Piece" album displayed more elements of contemporary rock music prevalent during the 1980s. Despite not being as successful as earlier works, the album still holds significance for longtime fans as it represents the band's return after a long hiatus.
